About me
I really like trying to catch the beauty of the sea and the thrill of wave riding. I have been trained to paint by the renowned Marine Artist Jamie Medlin in Falmouth, Cornwall, UK using the Atelier Method.
About Me
I create my oil paintings by using my own photography and that of professional surf photographers, some of who are my friends. I combine this with my own experience of being in the sea. I was born on the North Cornish Coast and have been in and around the sea all of my life.
About Me
I often find that the experience and memory i have of being in the water surfing transfers naturally in to my practice in painting waves and the movement of water. Water dominates our planet and our lives and is the most important thing to us. Sometimes I feel this when executing a painting. I find the process of oil painting contains a multitude of options and when selecting and applying mediums and techniques my deep experience of being in the sea in various sea conditions definitely supports and guides me when creating of my oil paintings.
